We are incredibly grateful for support from organizations like Soles4Souls. Thanks to them, we have been able to distribute 7,903 bundles of socks to local schools like Fairborn Primary!
For Fairborn Primary, these socks were used to stock Ernie’s Closet – which is a tribute to a retired, but long time staff member, Ernie. 2nd grade teacher Katrice Grusenmeyer shared a heartwarming story about one of her students that was directly impacted by our socks. On a cold September morning, this student came to school wearing sandals that were 3 sizes too small. After learning that he did not have shoes to wear, Katrice went to get him a new pair, but he was worried because he did not have socks. Katrice had shopped at our store recently, and knew that Ernie’s Closet was fully stocked! When she gave him brand new socks, he was ecstatic! He ran all around the room sliding on the wooden floor celebrating his new socks. The next day he wore the exact same pair of socks to school, so Katrice took them home to wash and gave him another brand new pair. His pure joy proves what a seemingly small gesture can do for someone. Katrice shared how the socks helped him feel worthy. We are so grateful to have had the opportunity to support them!
