School supplies are the tools needed to participate in daily classroom learning activities. Within the schools served by Crayons to Classrooms, approximately 86.5% of the students are identified as low-income and lack these necessary supplies. Local teachers often purchase classroom essentials with their own personal funds to fill this gap and provide for their students in need.
You can provide teachers and students at underfunded Miami Valley schools with the resources they need to succeed in the classroom by giving monthly, making an online donation, or dropping off supplies at the Teacher Resource Center.

We accept donations of new products to fill the shelves of the Teacher Resource Center including core school supplies, classroom decorations, STEAM supplies, books, and more. We also accept gently used office supplies or classroom tools!
Legacy gifts allow Crayons to Classrooms to plan for long-term support of students and teachers, helping us continue our mission of providing essential classroom supplies to teachers and students in need for years to come.
"Crayons to Classrooms highlights a need for schools that serve low income students. They stock a wide variety of school supplies that teachers can then come and 'shop' for free. Many people have heard that teachers spend their own money to provide things that their students need. This nonprofit has opened the eyes of the citizens of Dayton, OH, and allowed the community to take this burden off teachers' shoulders. The office and store are well-run and the staff excellent.
