Crayons to Classrooms is a free store for teachers from under-funded preK-12 schools that serve students living in poverty. Crayons to Classrooms serves schools in Ohio’s Miami Valley with 60% or more of their students participating in the National School Lunch Program. C2C promotes the full participation (shopping with us once a semester) of certified teachers from qualified schools within the following counties: Clark, Darke, Greene, Miami, Montgomery, Preble, and north Warren County. Schools are added to the C2C eligibility list on an individual basis as determined by the organization. Additionally, C2C serves select schools in rural counties based on median income.
Only certified teachers at eligible schools are invited to shop. This includes principals, assistant principals, general education teachers, intervention specialists, and specials teachers such as physical education, music and art teachers. For anyone that is not within these guidelines, please refer your questions to Carlye Rausch at c.rausch@crayonstoclassrooms.org. You can read our Shopper Eligibility Guidelines here.

"Crayons to Classrooms highlights a need for schools that serve low income students. They stock a wide variety of school supplies that teachers can then come and 'shop' for free. Many people have heard that teachers spend their own money to provide things that their students need. This nonprofit has opened the eyes of the citizens of Dayton, OH, and allowed the community to take this burden off teachers' shoulders. The office and store are well-run and the staff excellent. A model organization."
